The Orbit Ramen Bowl

The Orbit Ramen Bowl takes its name from the circular movement across its interior. Concentric throwing lines follow the curve of the bowl and lead towards a small spiral at the centre, giving the inside its distinctive character.

Two semicircular openings are shaped into opposite sides of the rim to hold your chopsticks when you set them down. This functional detail also gives the rounded rim its recognisable form.

The generous shape works naturally for ramen, noodles and broth, as well as udon, pho, soups, rice, curries, pasta and other meals. The glaze moves across the curved surface and settles differently within the lines, creating natural variation in colour and depth.

A THOUGHTFUL GIFT

EACH BOWL HAS ITS OWN CHARACTER

The circular form, central spiral and chopstick rests remain part of the design, while the glaze settles differently across every bowl. Small differences in colour depth, lighter and darker areas, throwing lines and surface details are natural to the piece, so each bowl has its own finish.

Every piece begins with ceramic clay and is individually shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired by skilled artisans. The process is deliberately hands-on, allowing the natural character of the clay and glaze to remain part of the finished piece.

Where hand-painted details are featured, each design is applied individually rather than reproduced by machine. Subtle differences in brushwork, colour, glaze, texture, and form are therefore natural. They give every piece its own character and are part of what makes genuine handmade pottery different from mass-produced tableware.
