Handmade Penguin Mug & Cookie Plate Set

Two penguins, painted by hand.

A mug for your coffee. A small plate for a cookie beside it. Or a place to leave your rings at the end of the day.

Each piece begins as clay and is made entirely by hand in our studio. The penguins on the mug are painted freehand, while the pair on the plate are individually sculpted, shaped and attached before firing.

The slight movement of a brush, the soft curve of the clay and the character of the glaze are all part of the making process. Nothing is printed, moulded or made to look identical.

The plate is made for cookies, biscuits and small treats, though many choose to use it as a trinket dish for jewellery and everyday keepsakes.

Finished with a food-safe glaze and fired at high temperature for everyday use.
