BLUE & EARTH GLAZE

This finish brings together cool blue-grey tones on the teapot with deeper brown tones through the lower section and matching cup. Subtle shifts in the glaze give the surface its depth without relying on a painted pattern.

The colour can move slightly from one firing to another. Some pieces may show more of the blue-grey, while others may bring out more of the brown.

It is the same Blue & Earth Glaze throughout — the variation comes naturally from the glazing and firing process.


MADE BY HAND

Each teapot and cup is shaped, glazed and fired in small batches.

Small differences in colour, glaze movement, texture and shape are expected from handmade ceramics. Your set may have its own balance of blue-grey and brown while keeping the same overall finish and design shown here.

This is a handmade ceramic set, so no two pieces will have exactly the same glaze movement.

The Blue & Earth Glaze is one finish, not separate blue and brown colour options. The balance between the blue-grey and brown tones can naturally vary during glazing and firing.

I actually prefer “Blue & Earth Glaze” here over names like Ocean Mist, Coastal Brown, Earth & Sea, or Blue Earth. Those start pushing the product into decorative, AI-style naming.

Blue & Earth Glaze tells the customer what they are actually getting, while still giving this version a distinct identity within The Nesting Tea Set.

Every piece begins with ceramic clay and is individually shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired by skilled artisans. The process is deliberately hands-on, allowing the natural character of the clay and glaze to remain part of the finished piece.

Where hand-painted details are featured, each design is applied individually rather than reproduced by machine. Subtle differences in brushwork, colour, glaze, texture, and form are therefore natural. They give every piece its own character and are part of what makes genuine handmade pottery different from mass-produced tableware.

Every piece is carefully checked, wrapped, and securely packed before it leaves our studio. Handmade ceramics need extra protection while travelling, so we take particular care with every order, whether it is going across India or across the world.
