The Pedestal Ramen Bowl

The Pedestal Ramen Bowl takes its name from the raised base that lifts the bowl slightly above the table. Its wide opening, gently curved sides and rounded body give it a generous shape, while the defined pedestal foot gives the form a distinct character of its own.

The raised base changes the way the bowl sits on the table, giving the wide form a clear separation from the surface beneath it. Inside, the generous depth makes room for ramen, noodles, broth and toppings, while the same shape works naturally for udon, pho, soup, rice, curry, pasta and other meals served in a bowl.

The glaze follows the curves of the bowl, creating natural changes in colour and shading across the surface. Choose between Seafoam Blue, a lighter blue with soft green tones, or Deep Ocean Blue, a deeper blue finish.

The overall form and glaze finish remain the same, but the glaze naturally settles differently across the curved surface of each bowl. Small differences in colour, shading and the placement of lighter or darker areas are part of what makes each piece individual.

Every piece is carefully checked, wrapped, and securely packed before it leaves our studio. Handmade ceramics need extra protection while travelling, so we take particular care with every order, whether it is going across India or across the world.
